Year 12 Art
You're creative. You love to draw, paint, sculpt, write, or design. Then art is the subject for you!
Prerequisites - Must have achieved all credits in 90018 and 90019 NCEA Art level 1 or by agreement with HOD.
The course offers 18 internal credits. The level 2 course is completely internally assessed. It introduces students to a range of new media and techniques. Designing and making surrealist sculptures takes them into a printmaking unit. Ideas are then further explored and developed through the medium of paint giving students the opportunity to combine drawing and colour skills, culminating in an exhibition. This lays the foundation for the level 3 course.
